Mdina is a Superior Rural House located in Fernán Pérez, Níjar, in the heart of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Almería. The only maritime-terrestrial park in Andalusia.

The complex has a main house and an independent apartment house, surrounded by Mediterranean gardens,
terraces, and a pool.

Mdina

The name Mdina comes from the Arabic word medinah, “walled city”, evoking the Andalusian heritage that permeates the entire region.

It also pays homage to Mdina, the ancient Phoenician capital of Malta, known as the silent city: an oasis of calm, hidden corners, and streets that invite tranquility. A place that inspires the essence of this project: a walled space of peace, warmth, and authenticity.

In the house, the common areas—lounges with fireplace, library, and bar—create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying. The interior patio, with its orange trees and cacti, provides a touch of serenity and freshness.

In front of the pool, the apartment house offers complete independence: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, private terrace, and barbecue area.

A private retreat where hospitality, familiarity, and comfort will help you disconnect from the world.

Pets are not allowed.

suN, eaRth and sea

Surrounded by nature, Mdina offers the tranquility of the countryside and the proximity of the sea.

Just a two-minute walk away, the small town of Fernán Pérez invites you to enjoy a glass of wine and the most authentic rural life.

From the terrace, you can contemplate the spectacular sunsets over the mountains of the park.
While the children have fun in the pool or the recreation areas, adults can relax reading, chatting, or sunbathing.

Every morning we serve a handmade buffet breakfast, with local products, homemade pastries, and freshly squeezed natural juices.

In every detail of Mdina, the essence of its owners is reflected, their history and their love for the land.

a refuGe with ideNtity

Built in the 50s as a farmhouse, the house retains its rural authenticity.

The extensions of the 90s incorporated the unique central pool, and in 2019 a complete renovation was carried out, maintaining its original essence.

Today, Mdina combines tradition, comfort, and design, offering a unique stay in balance with nature.

Susana and John live discreetly on the premises, always available for any need.

Privacy, independence, and warmth are part of the Mdina experience.
